FAQ

Can children be passengers?

Children must be tall enough to see over the basket unaided and must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.

What attire is appropriate for a hot air balloon ride?

Comfortable casual clothing is always recommended.  Close-toed shoes should be worn.  Sleeve length and jackets appropriate for the time of year your flight takes place are suggested.  There is little difference in temperature during your flight. A hat and sunglasses are also recommended.  Don't forget your camera and plenty of film!

What if someone is afraid of heights?

Even if you have a fear of heights, you shouldn't have a fear of ballooning.  There is little sensation of height in a hot air balloon.

When you stand on a tall building or on a ladder and look down to the ground, you get that fearful feeling because of perspective.  You can see the object you are standing on all the way to the ground, giving yourself something to judge the height against.

When you are gracing the skies in a hot air balloon, it's just scenery going by.  "Like a magic carpet ride" and "riding on a cloud" are two of the phrases that have been used to describe the beauty, exhilaration and gentleness of ballooning.
